Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account info: your email address and a password (stored as a salted hash — we never store or see your plain-text password).
• Flock data: whatever you enter — coops, hens, egg logs, and (on paid tiers) health events and feed costs.
• Photos: any hen photos you upload.
• Billing info: if you subscribe, Stripe collects and stores your payment details directly. We never see or store your card number — we only receive your subscription status (active, canceled, etc.) from Stripe.
• Basic technical data: standard request logs (IP address, browser) via Cloudflare's infrastructure, for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

To run the app: keep you logged in, show your flock data back to you, gate features by subscription tier, and process billing through Stripe. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell it to anyone.

Cookies

We set one cookie, session, to keep you logged in. It's httpOnly (JavaScript can't read it) and functional only — there's no advertising or analytics tracking on this site.

Where your data lives

Your account and flock data are stored in Cloudflare D1 (a managed database). Photos are stored in Cloudflare R2 (object storage). Payment details are stored by Stripe, not us.

Sharing

We share data with Stripe (to process payments) and Cloudflare (our infrastructure provider). We don't share your data with anyone else, and we don't sell it.

Deleting your data

Email us at john@frostbytewebsolutions.com to delete your account and all associated data.

Children's privacy

Homestead Helper isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
